Striker Mahatma Otoo has urged his team mates at Hearts of Oak to go for goals at the Kpando Park on Sunday, as they clash with Heart of Lions in week 16 of the Premiership campaign.
The Phobians travel to Kpando on Sunday ahead of their mouth-watering showdown with the pride of the Volta. Mahatma believes goals at Kpando could prove crucial to the outcome of their title chase. He told Hearts News that, "If we can go there and get a few goals and win the game, it will be a perfect start to this round. That will be a fantastic result for us and an excellent way to start the second round. Hopefully, we can get a couple of goals and keep our title hopes alive", he said. The Phobians, led in attack by Mahatma Otoo in all of its training games have certainly not struggled to find the net in the past couple of weeks, and he is positive the trend will continue when the competition resumes on Sunday. The turnaround has coincided with the return of the influential Laryea Kingston, the midfield machine called Kofi Abanga, and the arrival of new faces all of whom have contributed to Hearts' new-found strength. The Ghanaian international striker was coy on whether he was dreaming of signing off in style with another goal at Kpando on Sunday. "I have not thought about it" he said. "I just want to help Hearts win that one. It is another type of game, and it is never easy to win away in the League but we will try our best to get maximum points", he said. Mahatma had no doubt about the difference the new comers had made. "It's been a fantastic period for us. They have done so much. It's been a great story for them so far", he said. Mahatma is hoping to improve upon his own goal-scoring exploits. "I set myself targets at the beginning of the season which I still hope to achieve. There are still a few games left and hopefully, I can get more goals. We are going to take each game as it comes. We'll concentrate on the big game on Sunday because we need a perfect start", he ended assuredly.
