| Desperate Hearts ropes in Osam-Doudou |

Accra Hearts of Oak have employed the services of veteran coach Fred Osam Doudou to beef up the technical team after the dismissal of head coach Francis Oti-Akenteng.
The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) campaigners are in a desperate mood in search of a redemption in their continental campaign having lost the first two games in the competition.
Osam Doudou, who returned from international assignment in Gambia, where he acted as the head coach of the national Under-17 team, is expected to bring his rich experience to bear on the Hearts team. Information gathered by the GNA Sports from the camp of Hearts indicates that the coach has already begun training with the team after he was introduced to the playing body on Sunday.
The former Black Stars coach who led the team to win the 1978 Africa Cup of Nations and a quarter finals appearance at the 2002 Nations Cup in Mali will team up with stand-in coach Ato Hammond and Eddie Ansah in search of a victory in South Africa this weekend.
Hearts will this Saturday play against Orlando Pirates in the third game of the competition and will need nothing less than a win to keep their chance of surviving in the competition as they are placed at the bottom of the table with no point.
Coach Osam Doudou, aside his Nations Cup glory, also supervised the national Under-21 team, the Black Satellites to win the Africa Youth Championship in 1993 and placed second at the World Youth Championship in Australia the same year.
He is on record to have embarked on a soccer revolution in Gambia, picking them from an unknown corner to win the Under-17 soccer tournament last year.
The GNA Sports however gathers that the management of Hearts are still in the market in search of a substantive coach as the appointment of Osam-Doudou seems to be a stop-gap measure. |
